The all-new 2015 Kia Sedona has made its global debut at the ongoing New York Auto Show.
The front-engined front-wheel drive Kia Sedona is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 GDI engine that makes a healthy 276 hp at 6,000 rpm and produces peak torque of 336 Nm at 5,200 rpm. This V6 is mated to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission. Inside, the minivan gets Kia's next-gen UVO Infotainment & Telematics system bringing several new eServices features.
Control systems include ABS, ESC, Brake Assist System, Hill-start Assist, Cornering Brake Control and Roll Over Mitigation. Tyre options range from 17-inch alloy wheels to 18- and 19-inch wheels as well.
The minivan gets an almost flat roof, providing enough headroom till the last row. Like most minivans in the US, it also gets sliding doors at the rear and can seat 8 passengers.
Design changes for the 2015 Kia Sedona include a cab forward design and a fully integrated version of Kia's signature grille and headlamps with LED positioning lamps and the rear gets LED taillights, integrated bumper guard and standard roof spoiler. The vehicle's wheelbase has grown by 41 mm.
