  1. Carguy says:

Ford Focus replaced the Ford Escort which was the first model that Ford sold in India following their restarting of Indian operations after almost 4 decades. The Focus turned out to be a huge success across the world and at the same time continued to be a solidly built and brilliant driver’s car with great dynamics. For some strange reason, Ford India never made the Focus available in the Indian market.

The enforcement of Euro emission norms led to the availability of better engine technologies in India. Likewise let the enforcement of stricter safety norms in India (if at all it happens) sometime in the near future convince the manufacturers to bring their more interesting models to India.
