Peugeot has unveiled the all-new 108 city hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show, that shares most components with the Citroen C1 and the Toyota Aygo. The car will be officially launched in the UK on 1st July 2014.
The hatchback gets four powertrains - A 1.0-liter e-VTi engine that makes 68 hp mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox; a 1.0-liter VTi engine making 68 hp mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox; 1.0-liter VTi engine producing 68 hp mated to a 5-speed electronic gearbox and a 1.2-liter PureTech VTi engine making 82 hp mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The hatchback will be available both with a hard top and a retractable roof (check the gallery below). It measures 3,470 mm in length and 1,620 mm in width. The 108 gets 8 different body shades, including Aikinte copper and Purple Berry. The retractable roof comes in 3 shades - Black, grey or purple berry.
On the inside, the car gets a push-button start, 7-inch touchscreen and automatic aircon, among other features.
With the puncture kit in place, the car gets a 196 liter boot and with the spare wheel, this reduces to 180 liters. However, the 50/50 folding rear seats increase it to 750 liters when folded.
Six airbags come as standard - two in the front, two lateral airbags at the front and two curtain airbags covering the front and the rear seats.
