If you thought the INR 1.48 crores asking price for the F-Type convertible 3.0 V6 is too high, the news here may put a smile on your face. Prices of the Jaguar F-Type coupe are now available, post its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2014.

The F-Type coupe is also offered with the 340 PS engine option.

While the convertible was not offered in its base 340 PS trim, Jaguar India have announced this engine option for the coupe. Prices are as follows:

  1. Jaguar F-Type 3.0 S/C Coupe 340 PS – INR 1.21 crores
  2. Jaguar F-Type 3.0 S/C Coupe 380 PS – INR 1.34 crores
  3. Jaguar F-Type 5.0 S/C Coupe R 550 PS – INR 1.82 crores

[Note: Prices are ex-Showroom, New Delhi.]

While the 380 PS 3.0-liter coupe is priced a good INR 14 lakhs below its similarly specced convertible, the 5.0-liter coupe costs INR 7 lakhs more than the 5.0-liter convertible. This is because the 5.0-liter convertible produces 495 PS, while the 5.0-liter coupe makes 550 PS, making it the most powerful and quickest F-Type ever made.

Jaguar claims the F-Type R can do 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and hit a top-speed of 297.6 km/h. The 340 PS variant is capable of churning out 450 Nm of torque and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Compared to the 340 PS, the 380 PS produces 10 Nm more torque and hits 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. All variants come with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
