DC Designs unveiled the production version of the Avanti Supercar at the ongoing Auto Expo 2014. The Avanti debuted at the Auto Expo 2012 and the production version shown is a bit different.
On the headlamps, the production version gets better reflectors and an integrated foglamp that was missing in the edition unveiled in 2012. The vertical air slot above the DC badge on the bonnet also gets winglets to aid both the front aerodynamics and better cooling.
The rear sees much more changes than the front end. The horizontal chrome line is replaced by a curved set of parallel lines which house the DC logo. The rear LEDs stay, with the indicator LEDs integrated into the lighting cluster. The Avanti retains its triangular twin exhausts.
The rear pillars are much more accentuated in the production version than the generic lines that melded along with the body panels. The Ferrari F430-like air vents under the windows stay on the production version as well.
The Avanti is powered by a 2-liter turbo petrol engine (sourced from Ford) that develops 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque. It is driven via a 6-speed manual transmission, has a gross vehicle weight of 1,580 kg, 170 mm ground clearance, a 0-100 kph time of 6 seconds, and a top speed of 180 kph.
