TAI member 'Tornado' has spotted a test mule of the Fiat Punto facelift stationary, and took the opportunity to click and share the interior of the car.
The Punto facelift wasn't presented at the Auto Expo, but the company previewed the cosmetic changes on the Fiat Avventura which shares interiors and steel parts with the hatch.
The most noticeable modifications compared to the existing model is a new front bumper that is painted in the car's body color. We notice that the bumper would slightly differ from the international version with the foglamps taking their conventional position, as opposed to the European car that has them right below the headlights.
The section of the bumper that hosts the registration plate also appears thinner. The headlamp appears to be exactly similar. Likewise the rear is revised with new high-mounted stoplights and elongated reverse light. The styling of the wheels blends the Avventura's design and the European car's alloys.
The interior looks smarter with the use of new fabrics, trims and colors on the seats and dashboard. The dashboard is made of soft touch coverings in the European version, but this cannot be verified for the Indian model at this time.
Powertrain options are likely to stay unchanged, which would mean a petrol engine in 1.2-liter and 1.4-liter displacements, alongside the 1.3-liter diesel engine that comes in 75 PS and 90 PS variations. An automatic transmission is available on the European car, though we doubt if Fiat is considering it for India.
