Indian Autos Blog learns through sources that the refreshed 2014 Fiat Linea will be launched in the first week of March. Ahead of its launch, we can reveal the features of the top-end Linea Emotion variant.
Fiat wishes to compare this variant of the Linea with the Hyundai Verna SX, Honda City V and the VW Vento Highline. In the features department, Fiat will spec the sedan with cruise control, radio with voice activated commands, automatic headlights, rear AC vents, rear armrest with integrated glovebox, automatic wipers, wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, leather upholstery, collapsible rear curtain, 16-inch alloy wheels, ABS, EBD and ambient lighting.
Coming to the powertrain, the Linea facelift will most likely continue with the existing petrol and diesel engines. The 1.6-liter MultiJet engine will not be seen on the refreshed car, sources inform us. The diesel variant of the Linea will be powered by the existing 1.3-liter engine outputting close to 90 PS.
The refreshed petrol Linea will see power coming from either the 1.4-liter naturally-aspirated engine, or the 1.4-liter T-JET turbocharged motor.
Apart from the refreshed Linea, Fiat has lined up the launch of the Punto-based Avventura for the second half of this year. In between the market introductions of the 2014 Linea and Avventura, the Abarth 500 is likely to launch.
