Mahindra Reva has announced its plans for the Auto Expo which kickstarts next week in Greater Noida. The Mahindra group company will showcase its Formula E racing car along with a new electric sports car concept. Details about the sports car concept are not revealed at this time.
Chetan Maini, Mahindra Reva Founder and CEO, also confirms that a new variant of the e2o will be displayed at the show. The new variant of the small electric car will feature an improved and new charging technology that reduces charging time. Maini says that it will be immediately available in the market soon after the show.
Mahindra will also show the Verito electric sedan and Maxximo electric light truck at the Expo. The electric Verito made its premiere at the previous Auto Expo in 2012 and was spied undergoing road trials recently. Both, the Verito and Maxximo EVs will be "ready for commercialisation by the end of the year" according to Maini.
The Formula E racing car was revealed by Mahindra in November last year. It will enter the inaugural FIA Formula Championship that begins in September 2014.
