Kawasaki India today launched the Ninja 1000 in Pune at a price of INR 12.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune).
The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is powered by a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 16-valve, in-line, four-cylinder, 1,043 cc engine that pushes out 142 PS @ 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm @ 7,300 rpm. The engine is matched to a six-speed gearbox.
The bike features a three-mode KTRC system (Kawasaki Traction Control) with Mode 1 and Mode 2 offering sport riding performance, while Mode 3 offers higher stability in slippery surfaces.
Kawasaki says the bike comes with two power modes which can be matched to the KTRC setting. The rider can choose from Full Power or Low Power modes.
The motorcycle carries a Supersport-style full-fairing, with an adjustable vizor. The indicators are integrated into the fairing while the taillight is an LED unit. The fairing flares at the rear to divert the hot exhaust gases away from the rider.
The Ninja 1000 is built on a rigid aluminium frame constructed in a 5-piece cast, and sports a 19-liter fuel tank.
