The Honda Vezel compact SUV will be introduced in Japan on the 20th of December, and ahead of its launch, a brochure scan that details the Mugen variant has emerged on the web.
The compact crossover, which was shown in concept form at the NAIAS 2013 in January, will debut in the Japanese market this week, and sell globally from next year.
The sporty Mugen variant sits lower to the ground and gets a dull gray finish on the radiator slat, chin spoiler with the gray finish carried over to the scruff plate, side skirt, wind deflector, roof spoiler, twin exhaust, rear apron and alloy wheels.
The variant is based on the 4WD variant, which gets power from a 1.5-liter direct injection petrol engine. The same engine can be had in a hybrid variant as well. Specifications are yet to be released officially, and unconfirmed reports in the Japanese media say that the Vezel has a three month waiting period already.
The Vezel rides on the Honda Jazz platform, designed with the "stability of an SUV and elegance of a coupe."
