Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) have launched a limited edition on the City with MUGEN accessories. Dubbed the City MUGEN Edition, this variant is super exclusive as only 20 units will be made. All cars will be painted in a "Taffeta White" color, and will be offered in the 1.5 EL AT trim only.
The City MUGEN Edition gets a front sports grille, a front under spoiler, side spoilers, rear under spoiler and a massive rear wing spoiler. Honda says that the concept behind the City MUGEN Edition was to create a “SUPERLATIVE ACTIVE SPORTS” car with “Stream line design” and “Nimble handling”.
Mechanically, the MUGEN edition City features the same four-cylinder, 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine, producing 120 PS of power and 14.8 kgm of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission is the only gearbox on offer. In Philippines, Honda also sells the City with a 1.3-liter i-VTEC engine which is capable of 100 PS and 13 kgm of torque, and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The City MUGEN Limited Edition will be sold through 29 dealerships across Philippines. The model is priced at Php 976,000 (INR 13.61 lakhs). Compared to the regular City 1.5 EL AT variant, this MUGEN edition is pricier by Php 115,000 (INR 1.6 lakhs), but for that price Honda believes you get a lot of exclusivity and 'genuine' MUGEN parts.
