DC Customized Ford EcoSport revealed!

Posted on: Dec 23, 2013 - 3:23pm IST

DC Design have just revealed their take on the hugely popular Ford EcoSport. The customization house has modified the exteriors and interiors of the compact crossover thoroughly.

DC Customized Ford EcoSport front
The DC Customized Ford EcoSport features a thoroughly revised front fascia.

The front sees the headlights pushed below into the bumper, while the original headlight cutout features LED daytime running lights and turn signals. The front bumper is completely new, and features a huge (maybe unnecessary?) air intake.

Inside, the 5-seater EcoSport can now accommodate only four, in a 2+2 layout. The seats, door trims and dashboard panels are finished in a beige color, and the front passenger seat can also be folded flat to create a leg rest for the rear passenger.

The interiors feature a 2+2 layout with individual rear seats.

The individual rear seats are electrically powered and the backrest can also be reclined to a certain degree.

Rear seat passengers are further pampered thanks to an additional air con blower unit located above the front armrest. For entertainment, DC has included two large LCD displays for the rear seat passengers, while Ford’s SYNC central screen has been replaced by something much bigger (exact details are unavailable). The roof of the car features mood lighting as well.

DC Design are yet to announce the price of the package.

DC designs have become very monotonous these days. All futuristic looking concept types and all lacking the real world feel. Although DC customization maybe be supreme in comfort, but as an individual I don’t see any point in spending huge amounts on customization of such small cars with limited legroom.

I think DC should now try to create something classic, to stand out of the crowd.

The uninspiring looks of the 1er is a big puzzle for me. I know the story of the long bonnet resulting from a 50/50 weight distributed body and all that, but in spite of it don’t u think BMW has got what it takes to make the car look better?! I sometimes think that BMer has deliberately made the car look this way.
So yes, it would be v.interesting to see if DC can work on the car and prove that it can look better too. 😉

DC, when you can do such things in the small Ecosport, why don’t you do something innovative in the Ertiga! Tired of the same kind of interiors!
