Jaguar Land Rover celebrates 1 millionth vehicle production at Halewood

Jaguar Land Rover is celebrating the production of the 1,000,000th vehicle at the Halewood facility near Liverpool. The Jaguar X-Type (discontinued), Land Rover Freelander 2 and Range Rover Evoque come from this manufacturing facility.

The Milestone vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque

A record breaking 220,000 Range Rover Evoques were built at this plant in just 24 months bringing the 1 million milestone ahead of its forecast schedule.

The milestone vehicle is a unique Range Rover Evoque painted in Fuji-White color with the roof and mirrors sporting the Firenze-Red shade. Other touches include alloy wheels in ebony-black, sport seats and interior door panel in red-black combo.

The 1,000,000th vehicle will be donated to Cancer Research UK, who will take ownership of the vehicle later in the year. The car will be put up at a special auction in 2014 and the raised money will be spent on cancer treatment projects in the UK.
