Audi India have launched the A4 Celebration Edition today. While Audi chooses to call this is a 'Celebration Edition', this is actually a 'Corporate Edition' of the A4 with a few missing features and a lower price tag.
The Audi A4 Celebration Edition will come only in a white body color - you cannot opt for any other color even as an option as Audi will make only limited units of this variant. Features such as the sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels (the Celebration Edition gets 16-inch alloys instead), cruise control, wood trimmed dashboard, and power folding wing mirrors have been deleted. Also, the front passenger seat in this variant makes do with manual adjustment.
The A4 Celebration Edition gets the lower powered 2.0-liter TDI engine. In the Celebration Edition, this engine produces 143 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, as against the more powerful version of this engine which produces 177 bhp and 380 Nm.
The 143 bhp version of the 2.0 TDI will do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 9.1 seconds, hit a top-speed of 210 km/h and return 16.55 km/l. Since its a non-Quattro version, power goes to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.
Audi India have priced the Celebration Edition at INR 25.99 lakhs (ex-Showroom, pan India). Stay tuned to Indian Autos Blog for further updates on the A4 Celebration Edition.
