The 2015 Nissan GT-R is here! Displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show, it will go on sale on December 2nd in Japan and soon at worldwide dealerships. The 2015 GT-R sports an all new precision-constructed, multi-material hybrid body that combines steel, carbon fiber and die-cast aluminum to achieve high stiffness and lightweight. It will carry the same engine as the 2013 model.

More changes are made to the suspension which has been fine tuned to provide reduced load fluctuation between the four wheels. Electronic control of shock absorber valves, modified front stabilizer spring rates and updated bush links provide for better grip and handling. The updated GT-R now comes with Dunlop tires fitted as standard. At the front, their specification is: 255/40ZRF20 (97Y) and at the rear: 285/35ZRF20 (100Y).

Brakes have been calibrated to provide a more linear response. Multi-LED headlights feature an Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) that automatically adapts the angle of the light beam according to the speed of the car. At highway speeds, actuators in the headlight unit adjust the angle of the projectors to project the light further. However, the AFS system won’t be available in all regions.

At the rear, the GT-R’s distinctive four-ring taillight signature now forms coherent circles . Visual appeal is reinforced with the addition of a new body color called Gold Flake Red Pearl, which has microscopic gold-tinted glass flakes infused into the red paint. Choice of three interior color schemes includes a new pale ivory trim option. The steering wheel is trimmed in leather and part-aniline leather seats.

An optional carbon rear wing is offered, which is attached to a carbon trunk lid, giving a weight saving of half compared with the standard trunk lid.
