Unveiled in 2010, the Nissan Serena minivan receives feature updates for 2014 for Japanese market. The vehicle is presented at the Tokyo Motor Show, and here's the lowdown -
The safety aspect of the Serena is improved with the inclusion of a radar-based collision avoidance systems such as Emergency Brake and Lane Departure Warning that come standard. Drivers also get around-view mirrors and moving object detection. Emergency Assist for pedal misapplication and Driver Attention Alert are also made available.
The Serena which is Japan’s number 1 selling minivan was displayed in a new hybrid avatar, the Serena Star GS-Hybrid. In the updated Serena, its low-fuel consumption (S-HYBRID) is further improved.
Nissan has also fully updated the exterior styling with a new front grille and aluminium wheels. Hood fenders and side sill protectors, along with a new LED rear combination lights offer a premium feel. The company has also added a range of equipment, including super UV-cut heat insulated green glass for the front doors, front glass with top shade with anti-glare function and personal tables for the third-row seats.
The new Serena comes in five colours and premium high-contrast interiors with updated seat colors. The updated Serena hits the Japanese market next month. More details are available in the press release.
