Suzuki has launched a special edition model on the Intruder M1800R. The Suzuki Intruder M1800R B.O.S.S edition gets a sporty looking two-tone black and yellow paint scheme. The engine, exhaust and the 5-spoke alloy wheels are painted in a black color as well.
There are no mechanical upgrades to speak about as the B.O.S.S edition is powered by the same 1,783cc four-stroke, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which is matched to a 5-speed transmission, just like the regular Intruder. Maximum power is rated at 125 bhp while peak torque is rated at 16.3 kgm.
Stopping power comes courtesy of twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, while Suzuki offers 130/70, 18-inch wheels at the front and meatier 240/40, 18-inch wheels at the rear. Suspension duties are taken care of by an inverted telescopic, oil-damped unit at the front and link-type, coil-springs at the rear.
Like the Intruder on which it is based, the B.O.S.S weighs a good 347 kg and sports a 19.5-liter fuel tank.
The B.O.S.S edition is priced at INR 16.45 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi) which is exactly INR 50,000 more than the standard version. While that may seem a bit pricey, there is no denying that you get a lot of visual appeal with the B.O.S.S edition.
