Nissan India has just unveiled the refreshed Evalia featuring a few changes. IndianAutosBlog was the first to show you the updates yesterday but we learn today that there are few more items.

The refreshed Nissan Evalia sees the inclusion of a rear wiper and a washer. The rims have also been upgraded from the earlier 14-inches to 15-inches and the design of the alloy wheels have also changed. This completes the updates to the exteriors.

Moving inside, the glovebox now gets a lid, as compared to the earlier Evalia which had an open glovebox. The second row of seats can now be specified with captain chairs. A dedicated roof-mounted blower for the second row will be offered as a dealer level accessory. Also, a USB port for the music system and anti-glare internal mirrors have been added.

Nissan Evalia rear window closed

A small part of the rear windows can slide open.

Perhaps the most important feature in the refreshed Evalia is the sliding rear window, which should have been present since Day 1. A small portion of the window can now be slid forward.

Nissan Evalia USB port

A USB port has been included in the audio system.

Mechanically, the Evalia remains unchanged. The 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine continues to offer 84.8 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The ARAI-rated fuel economy stands at 19.3km/l.

Still they will not be able to break the Ice as customers expectations are different from what they are trying to serve through. They should make a good market research to understand needs. Indians are very comfort, design, quality, value, economical and status conscious without compromises.

Except Wipers, alloy wheels, captain seats in the second row, others look very bad. Especially the grip for third row seat, glove box doors and second row A/c blower are pathetic. One of my friend added third row blower from a third party at Coimbatore for his Innova. It resembles the same. Come on Nissan, don’t think Indian customers are fools. Put 20-30% of your efforts that you put in NY taxis, to convince Indian customer and avoid these cheap gimmicks.

Yuck!! The glovebox lid and AC blowers look downright cheap!! The new tyres and alloys look better though!

Ashok Leyland Stile looks better than Nissan Evalia.

Look at the glove box and compare it with Stile glove box cover…

Roof AC is dealer fitting for a vehicle which is priced very much on the higher side… and look how it looks…

Few pics from IAB pic gallery ( Ashok Leyland Stile and Nissan Evalia )… Judge for yourself…
