Hero MotoCorp Limited had unveiled updated versions of three Hero Splendor models amongst fifteen refreshed bikes at the Gurgaon press conference yesterday to showcase the firm’s "technological excellence and innovation". Amongst the three updated Splendor models are the Hero Splendor iSmart, the new Hero Splendor Pro and the new Hero Super Splendor.
New Hero Splendor iSmart
The Hero Splendor iSmart, sporting a dual tone livery, will be the first bike in India to feature engine start/stop which aids in automatically shutting off and turning the engine on, during idling, for improved fuel efficiency. Technical specifications and features of the motorcycle are similar to the regular Splendor.
New Hero Splendor Pro
The new Hero Splendor Pro was unveiled sporting a new carrier, a modified rear cowl, black alloy wheels and improved comfort level on the seat. The engine on the Hero Splendor Pro is the widely used 97.cc 4-stroke single cylinder engine which generates 7.8 PS at 7,500 rpm and 8.04 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The Hero Splendor Pro JI variant features black alloy wheels and different graphics on the fuel tank.
New Hero Super Splendor
The Hero Super Splendor will house the same 124.7cc 4-stroke single cylinder engine that drives out 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.35 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm but sporting fresh body graphics, redesigned dials on the instrument console and a side stand indicator.
