Volvo India confirmed today that the refreshed Volvo S60 and Volvo XC60 will launch on the 23rd of October.
Both models were revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Instantly recognizable from their wider grilles and single-piece headlamps, the vehicles also have tweaked taillights, redesigned alloy wheels and a different exhaust system. If you look closer, you will also notice that the windscreen nozzle is tucked under the bonnet and the radar cover is painted gloss black for a tidier look.
The cabin is spruced up with a digital instrument cluster, Sensus Connected Touch infotainment system, new upholstery, revised trim, silk metal accents, new wood inlays, a new headliner and textile B-pillars. The side mirrors have auto-dim feature.
Optional extras introduced on the facelifts for Europe were sport seats, a 3-spoke steering and heated windshield. The S60 can be specified with 19-inch wheels, while the XC60 can be had with 20-inchers. Models with a three-spoke steering wheel can be ordered with paddle shifters.
While Volvo had announced all-new Drive-E engines for the S60 last month, it may take longer before we see them on the Indian market. Current engine options (in D3, D5 and T6) would have to hold out until the European plant is able to supply the new vehicles to India.
