Render – Could the 2014 Tata Vista look like this?

Posted on: Oct 29, 2013 - 1:55pm IST

Having seen some spyshots of the 2014 Tata Vista that have emerged on the web recently, our rendering artist Shoeb Kalania went to work. He’s sketched the front and rear of the facelifted Vista with the speculated changes. Note that Shoeb has not seen the car, and this rendering may not be accurate.

Tata Vista 2014 front rendering
The front-end is updated with new headlights, bumper and grille.

After having it on the market for five years, Tata Motors has planned an extensive facelift for the Vista hatchback. Prototypes were spied in Coimbatore and Pune, and testers have kept the car tightly camouflaged all this time. A major update to the Vista was presented in mid-2011, endowing the car with the Manza’s grille, bumper and headlights. A more powerful variant (Tata Vista D90) was launched in January this year which introduced an integrated touchscreen, climate control and a full body kit. These variants show that Tata has regularly intervened and updated the Vista.

The 2014 Vista is anticipated with a complete list of cosmetic updates such as a revised front fascia with the grille of the Manza Hybrid concept, new headlamps and a reskinned bumper. At the back, the taillights would be redesigned and repositioned on either side of the registration plate enclosure, which in turn moves up to the hatch.

Tata Vista 2014 rear rendering
The rear is comprehensively redesigned with a new position for the registration plate enclosure and Volkswagen-style stoplights.

We aren’t very excited about the changes under the bonnet as at best, the new engine choice could be the 1.4-liter CR4 motor (from the Indica ev2 and the Indigo eCS). If this motor is unused, the current range of engines (1.3L diesel, 1.2L petrol, 1.4L TDI) would press on.

We expect Tata Motors to present the Vista facelift at the Auto Expo in February 2014.

Tata should bring cars that people want to own rather than cars they own since it has a big discount. Tata is considered our company by Indians. But we are forced to buy other cars since Tata doesn’t have good products. Tata needs to improve their thinking on what consumers want.

Good work overall, both by Tata and IAB.

The front fascia looks very good…sharp and aggressive. The rear looks dull though.

Make no mistake, the Vista is a solid hatch, probably one of the best in India. It’s just the perception of Taxi car that has spoilt its image and sales figures.

And yes, the 1.4 litre engine looks very refined and its frugal too ; that’s a good bet.

Guys, grow up !! Stop doing these copy+paste jobs and calling it a rendering 🙁

Nevertheless, its not a ‘completely new car’. TATA should look at say..Hyundai for eg: i20 was a completely new car replacing the Getz, i10 for Santro, the current Verna compared to the earlier Verna which in itself was a replacement for Accent. Only then, will VISTA or whatever they want to call it be exciting and worth looking forward to. Till then, dont waste any more of your web space with this junk.

TML never say new Car they said ” updating it’s portfolio through HorizonNext”.It’s is mere a facelift.Hyundai also do updates through i20 ,verna then what’s wrong with tata doing it’s updates.

If you don’t want to see these type of renders, then simply skip to your favourite hyundai’s section .

” Till then, dont waste any more of your web space with this junk”. – then why are you wasting your webspace and commenting like this!!! LOL!!!

Doesn’t matter if the rendering is accurate or not but great work!!! And if the car indeed looks like this, then not bad either.
