The VW e-load up (VW e-load Up!) premiered at the Volkswagen Group Night here in Frankfurt, tailor made for courier, pizza and social services, aptly measuring just 3.54m long. Its public debut will be held at the Frankfurt Motor Show today.
With a range of 160 km coming from a 18.7 kW/h battery pack, the e-load up is able to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 12.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 130kph. The motor outputs 82PS power and 210 Nm of torque and to reach 80% battery charge status, it takes about 30 minutes at a charging station.
The e-load up's payload capacity is 306 kg, while the loading bay volume is pegged at 1,400 liters, up from the usual Up!'s 951 liters. The vehicle's kerb weight is 1,164kg.
Being the first commercial vehicle application on the Up! platform, VW is sounding very confident about putting it in production. The company also confirms that the variant would also be sold in the conventional fuel options (petrol and CNG).
