TheĀ Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Madhavan Signature Edition has just been introduced in the country. While the carmaker has not released an official statement about this special edition and there is no mention about it on their website either, we notice that an advertisement has already made its way onto today’s newspaper.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Madhavan Signature Edition
Wagon R Madhavan Signature Edition gets a few added accessories including the actor’s signature.

As the name suggests, this special edition Wagon R has been endorsed by Indian actor, R. Madhavan (who also happens to be the brand ambassador for the car). As a result, you get his signature as part of the body graphics on the side and rear of the hatchback.

A Kenwood 2-DIN audio system with USB and AUX support, rear parking sensors with a digital display, a Bluetooth kit and art leather covered seats and steering wheel are part of the feature additions. A new door sill guard with the ‘Wagon R’ badging, full wheel covers and a rear roof spoiler have also found their way onto the signature edition.

Special edition is available only on the regular Wagon R and not on the Stingray (seen in this picture).

Since all these features are basically just added accessories, Maruti estimates their total cost at INR 32,000. However, the ad mentions that you need to pay only INR 20,000 more, resulting in savings of INR 12,000. Further, you get discount vouchers worth INR 5,100 and should you finance your buy, 0.5% of your interest rate is being discounted as well.

The Signature Edition is available only on the regular Wagon R and not on the recently launched Stingray version.
