The Hyundai Grand i10 was launched in India on September 3rd and was positioned between the i10 and the i20. Today, Hyundai India inform us that within 20 days of the launch, the company has received 10,000 bookings for the hatchback.

The Hyundai Grand i10 was launched in both petrol and diesel engine options.

The numbers released by Hyundai India are certainly positive at a time when car sales have slowed down considerably. The company says that apart from the 10,000 bookings, over 110,000 enquiries were made along with 70,000 test drives. Hyundai dealerships have seen their footfalls increase by 55%.

Hyundai India launched the Grand i10 with a petrol and a diesel engine. While the petrol is the familiar 1.2-liter Kappa2 with variable-valve timing, the diesel is a three-cylinder version of the 1.4 CRDi used in the i20. To better differentiate the Grand i10 from the regular i10, Hyundai India discontinued the 1.2-liter i10 yesterday.

Despite the challenging market scenario this quarter, we feel that Grand will continue to generate substantial customer interest and excitement all throughout.

Yes, swift is over priced but maruti has a loyal customer base and hardly any impact will be there on swifts sale. Liva, Sail and Figo’s sale will hit for sure. Again, despite having best interiors, many reviewers complaining about sub par performance of Grand.

Great going Hyndai. Needed a product like this to prove Swift has been looting people just because of Maruti badge. Maruti Swift – a absolute non-VFM car in its segment!
