The Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse “Jean Bugatti” edition premiered at the Volkswagen Group Night, ahead of its first public outing tomorrow at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The special edition pays tribute to Jean Bugatti, the eldest son of the company's founder, and is limited to three vehicles, each priced at 2.28 million Euros.
The “Jean Bugatti” is based on the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. Hence the 8-litre W16 engine producing 1,200 PS power and 1,500Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100kph time of just 2.6s, is the engine in question.
The Bugatti 'horseshoe' on the grille and the 'EB' logo on the rear are made using platinum. This is the first time Bugatti has used precious metal on its cars. The black rims are diamond cut and the signature of Jean Bugatti is lasered on the gray petrol and oil cap.
The interior leather is the same beige and brown tones used on the Type 57SC Atlantic, Jean Bugatti's most famous creation. The seats, steering wheel, instrument panel, dashboard panel, centre console, door trim panels and windscreen crossmember are all rendered in chocolate brown.
