The Toyota Etios twins have received the 2014 model year update in Brazil. Noticiasautomotivas.com.br presents to us the interiors of the updated car that has reached a few showrooms.
The slow selling duo benefits from improved finish and quality, while the exterior continues unchanged. The dashboard shape is the same but the centre console and airocon unit get a glossy black surround.
The music system is a 2-DIN unit and the area surrounding the AC controls have a fake carbon fibre finish. The high end XLS offers steering mounted controls for the audio system.
The AC vent surrounds and temperature regulation knobs have chrome rings. The centrally mounted instrument cluster has a darker finish with a dark blue illumination. The seat fabric quality appears to have upgraded.
Noticiasautomotivas.com reports that a Cross Etios with rough road package will arrive in November. By then, regular variants of the Etios will also gain electrically adjustable door mirrors.
Both the sedan and the hatchback move forward with the same flex fuel powertrains. The hatchback is powered either by a 1.3 litre 90PS motor or a 1.5 litre 96.5PS motor. The latter is the only engine option to the sedan.
Prices of the refreshed hatchback start at 35,690 reals (around Rs. 10.13 lakhs) and end at 42,490 reals (around Rs. 12.06 lakhs). The sedan ranges from 39,490 reals (around Rs. 11.21 lakhs) to 44,990 reals (around Rs.12.77 lakhs).
