Chevrolet to show 5 updated models including Beat Bubble Edition at Frankfurt

Chevrolet of Europe has announced that it will showcase five of its existing models with various safety enhancements and equipment additions at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Chevrolet Cruze 1.7L diesel

The Chevrolet Cruze will get a new version of the 1.7 litre diesel engine for the European market. The oil burner has an output of 110hp. The car's green credential is highlighted by the low CO2 emission of only 99g/km.

All the body styles of the Cruse will now get petrol engine options such as a 100bhp 1.4L, a 140bhp 1.4L Turbo, a 124bhp 1.6L and a 141bhp 1.8L. The existing 130bhp 1.7L diesel and the 163bhp 2.0L diesel will continue alongside the new version of the 1.7L motor.

Top end LTZ variants will be offered with Side Blind Zone Alert and LED turn signals on the wing mirrors.

Chevrolet Spark (Beat) Bubble Edition

The Chevy Spark (Beat in our market) Bubble Edition will be available in select European markets. The car comes with a sporty front bumper, side rocker moldings, 15" white alloy wheels and Bubble decals on the front fenders in either white or pink colors.

On the inside, the centre console and inserts match the exterior color and the seats adopt a leatherette upholstery. The instrument console has been restyled and the higher variants offer Bluetooth connectivity.

Chevrolet Aveo

The Euro spec Chevrolet Aveo gets a reverse parking camera. The LTZ variants also offer LED turn indicators on the wing mirrors.

Chevrolet Orlando

The model year update for the Orlando includes Side Blind Zone Alert and an Advanced Parking Aid. Select trim levels also offer second row heating. New alloy wheels and ORVM mounted LED indicators are added to the package.

The 1.4L petrol engine mated to a 6-speed autobox joins the lineup.

Chevrolet Trax

The Trax compact crossover for Europe will get a new entry level FWD variant which makes use of the 1.4L petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Higher variants of all these updated models will come with Chevrolet's MyLink connected infotainment system with a touchscreen.
