Mahindra owned South Korean automaker Ssangyong is working on rejuvenating its product portfolio to break away from the bad reputation it has with exterior designs.
The facelifted Korando C with improved detailing has just debuted in South Korea and Ssangyong's next facelift also looks launch-ready. A leaked picture of the Ssangyong Actyon facelift, hinting at an impending launch, was uploaded to autowp.ru this month.
Ssangyong chose the Actyon Sports pickup first for a major design overhaul and now, the SUV also undergoes the facelift surgery.
Ssangyong designers have borrowed the front fascia of the Actyon Sports pickup which complies with the brand's family look. The front of the Actyon facelift is a far cry from that of the current car and has a close resemblance to the refreshed Korando C. The test mules of the car spotted recently also confirm this. The changes to the rear are very minor.
Under the hood, you would find the homegrown 2.0 litre e-XDI200 diesel engine that puts out 155bhp and 360 Nm of torque, available on 4x2 and 4x4 versions. A 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic are the transmission options.
If the hints dropped by this leak and the undisguised test mules are followed, we reckon the Ssangyong Actyon facelift is in its final pre-launch stage.
