Czech auto maker Skoda built the eleven-millionth engine in its corporate history today at the Mlada Boleslav plant. The facility is producing engines since 1899 when Skoda began its automotive business by making motorcycles.
Currently Skoda makes 1.2-liter and 1.4-liter variants of the EA211 and EA111 model series at this plant. The plant produces up to 4,400 engines a day and employs some 3,600 workers.
