Rendering – Next gen Ford Figo/Ka qualifies to be James Bond’s city runabout!

Ever since the prototypes of what maybe Ford’s new sub-Fiesta hatchback started testing, a variety of renderings are surfacing on the internet.

next gen Ford Figo rendered

Regular Indian Autos Blog readers would have seen spyshots as well as renderings. Here are new renderings of the hatchback which would replace both the Figo and the Ka. The renderings are courtesy of Car.blog.br.

The upcoming B Segment hatchback has nothing in common with the Ka or the Figo. The current family design language, in its present or in an evolved form, with the Aston Martin like front grill, would grace this car. The shape of the stretched-back headlamps will be close to that of the new Fiesta.

The new car is certainly bigger than the Ka which is a three-door hatchback. The next gen Figo/Ka gets a curvy roofline which is a clear departure from the current Figo’s design features.

We expect the next gen car to sport a completely modern interior as well. It’s safe to expect new age equipment like the Ford Sync multimedia infotainment system, push button start and automatic climate control that can be controlled by voice commands available on bigger Fords EcoSport and Fiesta.

At least one of the petrol engines would be an EcoBoost. A Powershift (automatic transmission) variant is also anticipated.

The launch of the next generation Ford Figo/Ka is at least two years away as the automaker has just begun testing it.

Does anyone think Ford will ever bring a small city car to the USA for those of us that want a small 3 door hatch but something bigger than the Smart Car. the Sion iQ or the Fiat 500.

I thought the Focus ZX3 did well, so why will Ford not make something like take again for the USA ?

Looks good. The rear looks like Kia Picanto like shape.

Looks average I’d say. Nothing great about it.

Sad to see Ford ripping off Aston Martin’s grill to make their cars look good. Shows how pathetic Ford designers are, now a days almost every Ford car appears to have this grill.
