As we reported earlier, Volkswagen has shown the VW Taigun concept at the ongoing Buenos Aires Motor Show in Argentina, South America.

The Taigun is VW’s answer to the mini SUV segment which is proving to be the popcorn of the automotive industry in places like India and South America. The world debut of the Taigun took place at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in October last year.

A significant advantage VW has with the Taigun is that they need not re-engineer the car to meet the Indian small car regulations. The Taigun (in concept form) measures only 3,859mm bumper-to-bumper classifying it as a small car.

@3859mm Taigun still have140mm for 4m benefits..Add a quarter glass on C pillar and stretch by another 130-140mm can make more space for occupants and luggage.

Disappointed with the product. The boot space is poor, the interiors does look bare bones. It would be interesting to watch how the interiors transform once they put the car into production. Another sub 4 metre hatchback size SUV. I’d rather prefer the practical Vento over this if both the products are in the same price range.

VW need to make a move on in India, they’re such a super power elsewhere.

Hi Anjan, I have a suggestion.
    In the line:
    ‘More on Page 2.’
You have underlined the words ‘Page 2’, it would be easy to navigate, if you could add a hyperlink to the next page along with the underlining. 🙂

Yup, 280 liter of boot space still gets smaller due to high loading bay is a let down in our market, but 110bhp petrol with 22.2 kmpl along with the lighter body is a boon. Any information on ground clearance? And what are those three dials embedded separately on the dashboard over the center console?

By then ford will have sold million ecosports, and they probably have to slug it out with a crowded pool of manufacturers.
