Maruti Suzuki Ertiga ‘Green’ CNG launched from INR 6.52 lakhs onwards

Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of its popular Ertiga MPV in the Indian market. It is being called the Maruti Ertiga Green CNG.

The Ertiga Green will be available in the LXi and VXi variants only and comes with a factory fitted CNG kit. The CNG system is fitted on the conventional assembly line itself.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG

The Ertiga CNG comes with the i-GPI technology (intelligent-Gas Port Injection). It uses a dual engine control unit that delivers a calibrated amount of fuel to the engine, thereby achieving a good fuel efficiency. Maruti claims an efficiency of about 22.8km/kg.

The Ertiga Green CNG is the sixth vehicle from Maruti to feature a factory fitted CNG kit. Maruti already sells the Alto, Wagon R, Eeco, SX4 and Estilo in CNG variants.

The Ertiga Green will be available in places like Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune and parts of Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

The prices of the Ertiga CNG are as follows –

  • Ertiga LXi CNG at Rs. 6.52 lakhs
  • Ertiga VXi CNG at Rs. 7.30 lakhs

Maruti says that over 87,000 Ertiga’s can be found on the Indian roads.
