Honda Car India has hiked prices of all their cars, including the Honda Amaze. The prices of the Amaze have been hiked by about INR 3,000-8,000 depending on the variant. The price hike of the Amaze comes into effect from June 1.
The increase has been confirmed by Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior VP of Marketing and Sales for Honda Car India. Mr. Sen adds that he is not considering another round of price revisions just yet. The new CR-V's prices have also been increased by INR 6,000-14,000, while prices of the Brio, City and Accord were hiked in April.
For the month of May Honda has sold 6,036 units of the Amaze. Overall sales of Honda Car India stood at 11,342 units signifying a 9.8% year-on-year growth. The Amaze has accounted for more than half of Honda Car India's sales and this trend should continue say until a diesel variant of the current lineup or a utility vehicle is introduced.
