The sharp and sleek looks filter down from the Furia concept. The 2014 Corolla is bigger than the previous car.

The iconic sedan has been in existence for 47 years across 154 countries and is being built in 16 locations. Almost 40 million Corolla’s were sold so far and the 11th generation of the car would keep the counter ticking.

The 2014 Corolla has a contemporary styling which shares nothing in common with the sedan it replaces. The design is nothing but a watered down version of the Toyota Furia concept which was showcased at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year.

The new design is sharp and sleek and is more appealing to younger audience. It may not be futuristic, but the new Corolla fares equally well in comparison with its rivals like the Hyundai Elantra, Ford Fusion, Honda Civic, etc. First-in-class LED headlamps are noteworthy.

The LE Eco variant employs a 140 bhp engine which is equipped with Valvomatic technology to achieve more than 5% of power and efficiency. Toyota says this motor is capable of delivering over 40mpg.

Terrific ! I like what I’m seeing here.

Sleek, sharp, funky, contemporary, stylish, futuristic and a big departure from the boring Toyota designs we’re used to in India !!!

Hope the aggressive styling theory would be carried forward to all the cars in the future.
