The long term-indirect advantage of such launches of such products are many folds. This will force the other cars in the same price segment to re-think pricing. Having more luxury cars of road will force the manufacturers to raise the over all service network and part procurement logistics. This streamlines the luxury car industry over all, where customers will ask for increased level of services. As for the ‘over pricing’ of this particular product, the market will drive down the prices eventually (or when the competing products like the BMW 1 series or Audi A1 is launched). All in all, this is good news.
