Update – Renault have shared a few images of the inclusions which we’ve inserted at the end of the story.

Renault India has quietly introduced a special edition version of the Scala in the Indian market called the Travelogue Edition. This special edition model is launched with some additional features on the top variant of the diesel Scala and will be sold in limited numbers till May 31.

Renault Scala Travelogue Edition

For a price of 9.78 lakh (ex-showroom delhi), you get additional features such as –

  • Integrated touch screen multimedia system with navigation
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • DVD player
  • Illuminated scuff plates
  • Rear sun shade
  • Blinker on ORVMs
  • Muffler cutter

The Travelogue Edition certainly seems a value-for-money proposition because the on-sale price of 9.78 lakhs is just Rs 10,000 (approx) more than the top-of-the-line RXZ diesel variant.

Do note that the Travelogue Edition is not available in the petrol line up. In fact, it is only available in the RXZ Diesel trim.

Adding a rear sun shade to the whole package when the hot Indian summer is upon us is a pretty interesting move by the product/marketing team.

  1. tjacob says:

The dashboard that has everything in round shape would have looked perfect on a car shaped like a football. It looks totally of place in Scala.

  2. tjacob says:

The dashboard of Scala needs an urgent and immediate make-over. Can Renault do something about it?

  3. Rear sun shade is cool. Given that Indian law now bans sun films on glasses, if they introduce it for all windows it will be instant hit probably… roll it up when cop comes…

They say sooner or later your passion finds you. Sometime in late 2009, I started writing for IAB and ever since then it has been a roller coaster ride for me. An amazing experience that has taught me a lot, taken me to new places, driven some great cars and met some amazing people. When you don't find me on IAB (very rarely), you will find me either at a coffee shop or an eatery or at the nearest gadget store.Hope you enjoy IAB as much as we do!
