Nissan Sunny AT to start at Rs. 8.92 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai)

Nissan Sunny AutomaticJust this morning we brought you the news of Nissan prepping the Sunny AT for a pan India launch.

While we are not aware of the exact date of official launch as of yet, we can tell you the prices well in advance.

Thanks to TeamBHP forum member Mikem (who has managed to grab a copy of the official price list), we can tell you that the Nissan Sunny AT will start at 8.92 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).

Nissan plans to launch the Sunny AT in a CVT XL variant which gets keyless entry, push button start and interior chrome handles in addition to all the normal features of the XL manual variant. Mikem also tells us that the official launch is some time this week with customer deliveries beginning in the next week.

The Nissan Sunny XL CVT is powered by a 1.5L petrol engine good for 101PS/134Nm mated to the X-TRONIC CVT gearbox. Although Nissan has been making Sunny's AT versions at their Chennai factory since 2010, they were destined for export markets only.

Nissan claims that the Sunny’s automatic avatar is more fuel efficient that the manual version. The Japanese automaker claims an FE of 17.97kmpl for the AT version which is 1.02kmpl more than manual version’s 16.95kmpl.

The Sunny’s automatic avatar will compete against other petrol automatics in the market such as Honda City, Ford Fiesta, Skoda Rapid, VW Vento, Maruti SX4 and Hyundai Verna.
