We're at the Rolls Royce stall at the Geneva Motor Show and the luxury car manufacturer has just taken the shawls of its most powerful, dynamic, two door coupe - the Rolls Royce Wraith.
In an interesting trivia, the iconic British maker of uber luxury limousines had delivered their first RR Phantom on this day, a decade ago.
Rolls Royce says that the Wraith is the most powerful Roller ever. Power comes from a 6.6-litre Twin Turbo V12 engine that puts out 624 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. Needless to say then that the Wraith is capable of doing the 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.6 seconds.
The power is harnessed by an 8-speed automatic gearbox with satellite aided transmission which uses GPS data to preselect appropriate gear for the upcoming terrain. RR says it is the ultimate GT car!
The two-door coupe is based on the Rolls Royce Ghost, which in turn is based on the BMW 7 Series. Rolls says that the Wraith will be the most dynamic Roller to drive as well.
Inside, the Wraith sports a luxurious, contemporary interior to complement the dynamic poise of its exterior styling. Luxury and hand-craftsmanship work in harmony, thanks to the inclusion of softest ‘Phantom-grade’ leathers and expanses of open pore wood named Canadel Panelling.
Rolls says that the interior space hints at the interior of an ultra-luxury yacht thanks to the extensive use of wood.
When is it coming to India you ask? It is rumored that Rolls Royce would be bringing the Wraith to India in July this year to host a preview for a select audience.
