Skoda Auto started off its model offensive with the 2013 Octavia and the Czech automaker promises to launch 8 new products or model variants in 2013 on its official Facebook channel.
Skoda informed its Facebook fans on Saturday that the year 2013 will see 8 new products or model variants and encourages them to take a guess. The count is two more than what Skoda has promised earlier!
While the first one is obviously the Skoda Octavia Combi which is slated to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in under 10 days, the second one is most probably the Octavia vRS sports sedan.
Skoda has started the process of renewing its model lineup to align them with the new family identity and that means the third product could be the Superb facelift. We take an educated guess on four of the five cars - Superb Combi facelift, Octavia Combi vRS, Yeti facelift and Yeti long wheelbase.
If Skoda has 8 launches lined up this year, then it is safe to say that the Czech carmaker would get very busy. We could see new launches happening at quick and regular intervals, starting from Geneva Motor Show.
While the new Octavia would spearhead sales, Skoda would like the rest of the products to keep every customer covered. We believe while 2013 is the year of the new Octavia family, 2014 would be the year of the new Fabia's.
