We just brought you the fresh set of spyshots of the Mahindra Verito compact yesterday and now we return with a video.

Mr. Gokulraj GK of Mycopie is at it again. The fully camouflaged test mule was taped while it was testing in Chennai. It is to be noted that Mahindra Research Valley (Mahindra’s new R&D facility) is located in Chengalpattu off Chennai, which now takes care of the product development.
From the looks of the car, Mahindra has decided to take the fight towards premium hatchbacks instead of rivaling the formidable sub 4 metre sedan, the Maruti Swift Dzire. With a body style which is close to a hatchback rather than a compact sedan, the sub 4 metre Mahindra Verito will be looking to lure the prospective hatchback customers, especially the ones who are considering cars like Ford Figo, Mauti Swift, Chevy Sail U-VA since the price difference won’t be much.
The Verito compact will be employing the same 1.5 litre diesel engine borrowed from Renault where as a petrol motor is highly unlikely since currently there is no 1.2 litre petrol engine in Mahindra’s hand. As Dr. Pawan Goenka told Indian Autos Blog, the sub 4 metre Verito will continue using the Verito brand name along with a suffix.
He also told us that the car will be here by the end of March.
