Image Update - We have added images of the new Z4 and M6.
While we still sit here waiting for the all important model from the BMW stall, the BMW 4 Series, to show its face, the BMW officials are busy unveiling the facelifted BMW Z4 and the BMW M6 Gran Coupe.
2014 BMW Z4
There is not much of a change in the way the new BMW Z4 looks except for new LED headlights, a 'dynamic sweep' to the side indicators and new color options. Interior gets an optional contrasting black and orange trim, gloss black treatment for the air vents, Fineline Anthracite wood finish for the dash. The roof is finished in black color.
The ConnectedDrive system now comes with High Beam Assistant and Park Distance Control. The iDrive multimedia system gets enhanced iPhone connectivity.
BMW M6 Gran Coupe
The insane 553 bhp, 680 Nm M6 Gran Coupe joins the M versions of the Coupe and Convertible 6 Series models. The M6 Gran Coupe puts the tarmac burning torque from the 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 on road via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
The M6 Gran Coupe differentiates itself from its more civilized sibling by having a carbon fiber reinforced plastic roof, aggressive bumpers and skirts, chrome trimmings on front grill and airdam, 20" alloy rims and a rear diffuser twin exhaust pipes on either side.
To handle the extra power, BMW has beefed up the suspension with extra aluminium and gave it electronically controlled shock absorbers. BMW also reinforced the chassis and added speed sensitive hydraulic steering with M-Specific stability apart from fiddling with the ABS and transmission programming.
