It will replace the 3 Series Coupe measuring 4,641 mm long, 1,862 mm wide and 1,362 mm high, with a 2,810 mm wheelbase - in other words its longer, wider and lower than the 3 Series Coupe that is currently on the market.
Features such as the air intakes and vents, door openers and exterior mirrors are functional, and should make it mostly untouched to the production model. We also expect the fender vent which cools the front wheels to find place in the production version. The name '4' according to BMW signifies greater exclusivity and presence.
The interior layout and design bears the same aura as the BMW 3 Series but the two-tone Black and Schiaparelli Brown trim provides the sense of exclusivity and grandeur that BMW hopes to offer in the 4 Series. The interior is heavily customized by the BMW Individual team and hence you can see their branding on the door sills.
The seats are enveloped by hand-braided leather and the braiding theme is carried over to the leather covered cup holders and floor mats. A Chestnut wood trim strip in the dashboard adds further class to the already pampered cabin.
The German manufacturer has not revealed the engine options that will be offered in the 4 Series but we expect 4 Series to carry a set of familiar 4 and 6 cylinder engines.
