So now it’s time to strengthen the grip on the passenger car segment. The automaker has been quietly working on the replacement to the legendary Force Gurkha. Our friends at Motorbash.com have managed to get us a video of the Gurkha testing in Pune.

Force Motors has chosen to ditch the camouflage and test the Gurkha out in the open. The new Gurkha is not an all new model simply because Force Motors is in a very nascent stage when it comes to passenger cars. A few design changes include round headlights which replaces the earlier version’s rectangular units and alloy wheels that have come off the Force One.

It is expected to be powered by a Daimler sourced 2.2-litre FMTech engine with 142PS of power and 321Nm of torque. We presume that it will come with 4WD and a lockable differential. Expect the Gurkha to hit the stands by the end of next year.

Force Motors has a strong vision for passenger car division. The automaker is ready to pump in Rs. 1,000 crore in operations, new products, a new paint shop and modern equipment at their Pithampur facility to realize their passenger car dreams. The current dealership network of 25 dealers will be expanded to extend the reach of the brand.
