Saint-Gobain Sekurit, one of the most preferred glass manufacturer in the world has secured a deal with Renault India to supply glasses for their best selling Duster SUV.
Saint-Gobain Sekurit will be the sole supplier of glasses for the Renault Duster. This will definitely bring in huge boost to the glass company since the Duster is proving to be popular among the Indians and Renault has managed to put almost 20,000 Dusters on road.
Saint-Gobain claims that the glass that goes into Renault Duster will offer superior acoustic, atmospheric, thermal and visual comfort while ensuring greater safety and security to the customers. In addition to supplying Renault India, Saint-Gobain Sekurit India also supplies glasses to Dacia's European plant and has won accolades for being one of the best suppliers.
The Renault Duster has clocked around 17,000 bookings as of July and by the end of November, the company has delivered more than 19,000 Dusters in India. Renault India has also started exporting the Duster to UK and Ireland under the Dacia identity and is said to be exploring other possible RHD export markets where Renault has presence.
Being the single largest glass supplier for one of the country's most popular new cars will bring in lots of sales boost to Saint-Gobain Sekurit India.
