Earlier, we have informed that the launch of Chevrolet Spark facelift will take place on Oct 15th, a day before Maruti Alto 800 launch, but according to our sources the it may be postponed by a few days.
A slew of festive season launches that are lined up in the coming week might push GM India to reschedule the Spark facelift launch, in order to prevent being overshadowed by the Alto 800 which will debut on Oct 16th. The postponement would enable the Spark to garner maximum attention.
Here are the first clear pics that show how the Spark facelift will look like and this time from our very own lens!
The facelifted Spark will come sporting a chrome lined twin port Chevy grill as in other cars from the bow-tie brand, making the now cute car a little aggressive. The bumpers and fog lamp mountings will also get reprofiled.
The rear is expected to undergo some subtle modifications such as a new rear bumper and hatch door. The interior will remain largely unchanged save for some change of plastic shades and seat fabrics.
Under the skin, the new Spark will remain true to its predecessor. The engine and gearbox will be the same 62 bhp 1.0 litre and a five speed manual units respectively.
Chevrolet Spark is a good city car and with the help of Chevrolet Promise 3 year free maintenance plan the latest iteration is expected to be a good value for money.
