The striptease of the Suzuki S-CROSS Concept is finally over. Here we have the comprehensive images of the concept that previews the next generation Maruti SX4.
Supposed to be on display at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the S-CROSS is a visionary compact crossover model. At the front it features swept back LED-intensive headlamps, a bold rectangular grill, huge chromed air dams and LED DRLs.
At the side we can see some really big (possibly 17 inch) chrome alloy wheels. The whole concept is wrapped in a cool green metallic paint.
The rear was partially teased before the full unveil. A set of sharply-designed tail lamps, rear LED DRLs and a strip of LEDs for braking are the highlights of the rear of S-CROSS Concept.
As we already know that the next generation SX4 will be inspired by the S-CROSS Concept. The SX4 has been caught testing numerous times in the international automotive scene.
Unlike the previous generation, Suzuki has chosen to develop the SX4 without the help of Fiat. On the other hand, Fiat has chosen to develop an all new crossover to replace the Fiat Sedici (a re-badged SX4) which we know as the Fiat 500X.
There are rumors that Suzuki might build the new SX4 on the Kizashi platform, but we don't have the concrete details yet. Suzuki has a wide range of engines to play with, right from 1.6L to a range topping 2.0 liter four-cylinder with an output of about 150 hp.
The new SX4 will head to showrooms sometime in late 2013 or early 2014. Expect the sedan to follow suit.
