Nissan is calling the launch “the music of innovation” and we can hardly wait to understand what the hype is about.

As you may have read, the Nissan Evalia launches with a 1.5L diesel engine (rated at 85PS/200 Nm), paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. It has plenty of cabin space and Nissan is pitching the Evalia to customers moving up from compact vehicles.

The vehicles are manufactured at the Renault-Nissan alliance plant in Chennai. Ashok Leyland is also working on the Evalia to launch applications meant for the commercial segments under the ‘Stile’ nameplate next year.

The Evalia may fail to win beauty contests, but will the fantastic K9K diesel engine tied in with a golf-range of a passenger cabin hassle the Innova’s dominance? We’re certainly going to study the consequences on the market of this launch, so stay tuned to IndianAutosBlog.com.
