As we promised you this morning, we will bring you as much as we can from the media presentation of the Renault Scala, that is taking place today and tomorrow in north India.
Here are the first images revealing the full interior and all angles of the car. As expected, the dashboard is unchanged from the Sunny, except for the Renault diamond.
The Scala is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 99PS and delivers a fuel economy of 16.95 kmpl. The 1.5-liter diesel engine (K9K) makes 86 PS while returning 21.54 kmpl. The Scala petrol will also be sold with a CVT option. The petrol Scala will launch in RxE and RxL variants, while the diesel will be sold in the RxL and RxZ trims.
Renault Scala Accessory fitments
The Renault Scala will be launched in India in the first week of September and was redesigned by Indian designers at Renault's Mumbai design studio. Renault officials say even people who upgrade from low-end cars like the Alto and Santro, would like the Scala, even thought the positioning is in the 7-10 lakh rupee range. The product's pillars are design, comfort, fuel economy and brand image.
