And so it has begun. Ford has finally started rolling out the EcoSport in the 100 markets that were promised. The first market is obviously Brazil because not only was the design and development work Ford Brazil's main tasks, but the new EcoSport is a replacement to an existing SUV.

Now we bring you an exclusive look in the prices of the EcoSport. Ford Brazil has revealed some variants of the EcoSport on its website. For now, only the S and FreeStyle version have been disclosed. There are more variants expected in the future.
Ford EcoSport variants and prices in Brazil
- EcoSport 1.6 (EBA3) gets air conditioning, power steering, electrically operated mirrors, front power windows, SYNC with Bluetooth and voice commands, LED lights, dual airbags, ABS, and body colored bumpers. The suggested retail price is BRL 53,490 (14.47 Lakhs INR)
- Ecosport FreeStyle 1.6 (EFA3) includes everthing from EBA3 plus 16 inch alloy wheels, rear electric windows, parking sensor, one touch windows, trip computer, TCS, ESP and Hill Hold function. The suggested retail price is BRL 59,990 (16.22 Lakhs INR)
- Ecosport FreeStyle 1.6 (EFB3) gets all the goodies from the above variants on top of six airbags and leather seats. The suggested retail price is BRL 63,690 (17.22 Lakhs INR)
Of course, these prices have no implication on the Indian market because the Ford EcoSport will be heavily localized and the tax structure is different for a sub-4 meter vehicle in India.
There may be some really erratic price difference from market-to-market (see the difference in prices of the Audi Q3 in Brazil and India). The official launch will be held in Brazil on either the 3rd or the 4th of August. We will get you a detailed report from the launch in Brazil, so don't go anywhere!
