However, do you know where the Renault/Dacia Duster came from?

This is the Dacia Duster Concept which was showcased at the 2009 Geneva Motorshow. It was imagined as a Sports coupe crossover; something on the lines of the Range Rover Evoque. Exceptionally aggressive styling with a very powerful stance made it a design that could not be easily forgotten. Notice how the broad front bumpers with wide horizontal intakes are flanked by tapering headlamps.

The flared wheel arches are further emphasized by the Anthracite Grey body color. The sporty 21 inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels are stylish and sharp.

But as it is with most concepts, the reality is a bit different.

When the Duster goes under the scalpel for its mid-life refresh, we could see more cues from the concept being inherited by it. This is expected to take place in the next two years.

The Duster is also likely to get an automatic transmission variant in most countries. We have seen renderings of Duster variants such a single cab pickup truck, which could be explored deep into its life.
